Details of the Job/Internship

Kynhood is hiring a Junior In-House Legal Counsel to join their office in Chennai. The role involves supporting the Legal and Compliance function across corporate, commercial, regulatory, and employment law matters. Responsibilities include contract drafting and review, legal research, compliance support, and coordination with internal stakeholders and external counsel.

Role and Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and vet contracts, MoUs, NDAs, vendor agreements, service agreements, and client contracts.
• Ensure contractual compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
• Maintain contract repositories and trackers.
• Support statutory and regulatory compliance under the Companies Act, labour laws, data protection laws, and other applicable regulations.
• Assist in compliance documentation, filings, and internal audits.
• Track regulatory changes and highlight implications to stakeholders.
• Assist with board resolutions, minutes, corporate filings, and documentation.
• Coordinate with the Company Secretary for ROC and statutory filings.
• Liaise with external counsel on disputes, notices, and litigation.
• Maintain case trackers and documentation.
• Assist in preparing briefs and responses to legal notices.
• Conduct legal research and prepare notes or opinions.
• Support senior legal counsel on advisory matters.

Eligibility

• Basic understanding of corporate, commercial, and labour laws.
• Strong contract drafting and review skills.
• Legal research and documentation skills.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and legal documentation tools.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Effective stakeholder management skills.
• High level of confidentiality and integrity.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work within timelines.

Salary/Stipend
