Details of the Job/Internship
KYN is hiring a Junior In-House Legal Counsel to support the Legal and Compliance function across corporate, commercial, regulatory, and employment law matters.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and vet contracts, MoUs, NDAs, vendor agreements, service agreements, and client contracts.
- Ensure contractual compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
- Maintain contract repositories and trackers.
- Support statutory and regulatory compliance under the Companies Act, labour laws, and data protection laws.
- Assist in compliance documentation, filings, and internal audits.
- Track regulatory changes and highlight implications to stakeholders.
- Assist with board resolutions, minutes, corporate filings, and documentation.
- Coordinate with the Company Secretary for ROC and statutory filings.
- Liaise with external lawyers on disputes, notices, and litigation.
- Maintain case trackers and documentation.
- Assist in preparing briefs and responses to legal notices.
- Conduct legal research and prepare notes and opinions.
- Support senior legal counsel on advisory matters.
Eligibility
- Basic understanding of corporate, commercial, and labour laws.
- Proficiency in contract drafting and review.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage stakeholders.
- High confidentiality and integrity.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work within timelines.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and legal documentation tools.
