Details of the Job/Internship
Wipro is hiring a Corporate Counsel to join their office in Sarjapur, Bengaluru.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate high-value strategic partner agreements and IT services contracts.
- Manage a diverse portfolio of legal documents, including Cloud (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS), hosting, and IT infrastructure agreements.
- Advise business teams on legal and compliance issues related to the partner ecosystem and future technologies.
- Handle complex IP licenses, software compliance, and open-source software copyright issues.
- Navigate cross-border transaction compliance, particularly concerning global data protection regulations.
- Draft and vet structured finance documents, ISDA contracts, bank guarantees, and construction/property-related agreements.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to provide strategic legal advice on customer engagements and business risks.
- Create and update legal templates and playbooks to standardize contracting processes across the organization.
- Provide training to other legal teams and support the resolution of contract disputes or litigation matters.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized institution.
- Proven experience in drafting and negotiating complex IT development and software license agreements.
- Strong understanding of software compliance, including open-source and cloud-based licensing frameworks.
- Knowledge of international data protection laws and cross-border regulatory issues.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders.
- Experience in creating legal playbooks or templates is highly preferred.
- Exposure to dispute resolution or litigation is an added advantage.
