Details of the Job/Internship
Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan Attorneys is hiring an Associate – Indirect Tax (Litigation) with 0–2 years of experience in indirect tax matters, GST, and Customs for its Mumbai office.
Role and Responsibilities
- Handle tax matters including preparation of submissions, replies to notices, and appeals.
- Represent clients before tax authorities and during appeal proceedings with seniors.
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis of legal provisions.
- Draft legal opinions, advisories, and compliance reports.
- Prepare client presentations, training material, and seminar notes.
- Analyze client data to estimate tax impact and identify tax-efficient business models.
- Contribute to articles, monographs, and firm knowledge initiatives.
- Build rapport with client management and proactively identify technical issues.
- Mentor junior associates and guide them in their work.
Eligibility
- Essential qualification: CA / CA + Lawyer with strong academic background.
- 0–2 years of experience in indirect tax, GST, or Customs.
- Strong research, drafting, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage client interactions and deliver high-quality service.
