Details of the Job/Internship
Economic Laws Practice is hiring an Indirect Tax Advisory to join their office in Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Ability to do quick research to develop a theoretical understanding of the laws and acts Knowledge of case laws with the relevant legal framework, good understanding of regulatory updates, approvals, opinions, and basic understanding of its impact on clients.
- Ability to acquire knowledge on current market trends and understand its future implications and impact on clients.
- Ability to create and disseminate updates on the latest trends to the team.
- Attention to detail w.r.t. drafting skills, replies, etc (most critical)
- The incumbent will handle engagements related to Indirect Tax Laws: including Tax Restructuring, Tax Advisory and consulting, appeals of Goods and Service Tax, Service Tax, VAT, Excise, Foreign Trade Policy, Octroi (State-specific) laws, and Customs Law. In addition, there may be assignments relating to Income tax laws.
- Assignments will also include litigation-related services: drafting replies, appeals, briefing counsels and senior counsel.
Eligibility
- LLB.
- CA/LLB.
