Details of the Job/Internship

CA Monk is hiring an Indirect tax associate to join them in Bengaluru office. 

Role and Responsibilities

Advisory and Compliance:

• Provide expert advice on GST/indirect tax matters, including tax planning and optimization.
• Ensure timely and accurate compliance with GST regulations, including preparation and filing of returns.

Litigation and Representation:

• Handle GST audits, assessments, and appeals.
• Represent clients before tax authorities and tribunals.

Client Management:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by understanding their business and providing tailored tax solutions.
• Lead client engagements, ensuring high-quality deliverables and adherence to deadlines.

Team Leadership:

• Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a collaborative and learning-driven environment.
• Review work completed by team members and provide constructive feedback.

Business Development:

• Identify new opportunities and contribute to the growth of the firm’s indirect tax practice.
• Develop thought leadership articles, participate in seminars, and enhance the firm’s market presence.

Eligibility

• Chartered Accountant (CA), Cost Accountant (CMA), or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in GST/indirect tax, preferably in Big4/Big5 firms or reputed consulting organizations.
• In-depth knowledge of GST laws, regulations, and recent amendments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and lead teams effectively.

Salary/Stipend

Compensation details will be finalized during the interview process with the selected candidate.
