Details of the Job/Internship

Lakshmikumaran and Sridharan attorneys is hiring for the position of Indirect Tax Associate with 0-2 years of experience to join their office in Pune. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth legal re.search and analysis of GST and indirect tax provisions.
• Draft detailed opinions, advisory notes, and compliance reports.
• Analyze client data to assess tax implications and provide scenario-based recommendations.
• Prepare PowerPoint presentations for client meetings, trainings, and seminars.
• Design tax-efficient business models and support structuring exercises.
• Draft and file submissions, replies to notices, and appeals; represent clients before tax authorities (alongside seniors).
• Deliver consistent client service across multiple engagements with increasing autonomy.
• Build relationships with mid-level client stakeholders.
• Develop a sound commercial and tax acumen by staying up to date with industry and regulatory developments.
• Write and contribute to articles, inte.rnal monographs, and legal databases.
• Mentor junior associates and guide them on legal and practical aspects of ongoing matters.

Eligibility

• Chartered Accountant (preferably cleared in the first attempt) or LL.B from a reputed law school.
• Strong academic record with excellent English communication skills (fluency is critical).
• Confident personality with a proactive mindset.

Salary/Stipend
