Details of the Job/Internship
Lakshmikumaran and Sridharan attorneys is hiring Associate and Senior Associate – Indirect Tax Litigation professionals with 1–5 years of experience to join their office in Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Assist clients during searches, investigations, and audits.
- Prepare replies to show cause notices.
- Attend meetings and appearances before tax officers.
- Draft tax appeals for filing before the Joint Commissioner (Appeals) and Tribunal.
- Proactively identify and discuss technical issues with clients.
- Handle submissions, replies, and representations before tax authorities and during appeals.
- Manage multiple clients and take independent responsibility for smaller accounts.
- Develop rapport with mid-level client management.
- Stay updated with industry trends and firm-wide developments to add value to client solutions.
- Identify new opportunities for existing clients and communicate them to seniors.
- Mentor and guide junior associates.
- Contribute to the firm’s knowledge management activities.
Eligibility
- Qualification: CA / Lawyer / CA + Lawyer with a strong academic background.
- Experience: 1–5 years in indirect tax, GST, or customs.
