Details of the Job/Internship

Air Distribution Technologies, Inc. is hiring an Intellectual Property Analyst to support the expansion and management of its patent portfolio. The role involves collaborating with engineers and business teams, assessing patentability, supporting IP strategy development, and managing IP-related processes with outside counsel.

Role and Responsibilities

• Assess innovations for patentability and support IP strategy development.
• Collaborate with engineering and business teams on IP matters.
• Support negotiations with third-party partners regarding IP agreements.
• Manage intellectual property processes and portfolio administration.
• Provide guidance on IP clearance, contracting, and protection strategies.
• Coordinate with outside counsel for patent prosecution and portfolio management.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, intellectual property, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in intellectual property analysis, portfolio management, or patent prosecution support.
• Strong technical background with experience in control systems, mechanical equipment, and software-driven innovations.
• Familiarity with software licensing, open-source compliance, and digital IP matters.
• At least 3 years supporting patent preparation and prosecution.
• At least 2 years reviewing and negotiating IP-related agreements with third parties.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Salary/Stipend
