Details of the Job/Internship
India SME Forum is is hiring an IP Attorney with 1–3 years of experience to join their office in New Delhi.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, file, and prosecute GI and TM applications before the relevant registries.
- Conduct legal research and handle oppositions, hearings, rectifications, and related proceedings.
- Prepare, review, and negotiate IP-related agreements such as licensing, assignment, and coexistence agreements.
- Advise clients on IP protection strategies, risk mitigation, enforcement, and statutory compliance.
- Monitor developments in GI and TM laws and provide practical legal insights.
- Support IP awareness programs, capacity-building initiatives, and outreach activities.
- Coordinate with internal teams, external counsel, and government authorities as required.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB).
- Specialisation in Intellectual Property is preferred.
- LLM degree is an added advantage.
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in Geographical Indications and/or Trademark law.
- Demonstrated experience in IP drafting, prosecution, and advisory work.
