Details of the Job/Internship

ASSOCHAM is hiring an Intellectual Property Consultant for a 1-year contract role in Delhi. This position is designed for a highly motivated IP professional with 0–2 years of experience who is also a Registered Indian Patent Agent. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and prosecute both provisional and non-provisional patent applications.
• Conduct comprehensive prior art searches, patentability assessments, and Freedom-to-Operate (FTO) analyses.
• Execute landscape analyses to identify emerging technological trends and IP opportunities.
• Organize and conduct IPR Awareness Workshops for diverse stakeholders and startups.
• Formulate long-term strategies to sustain and build a robust innovation ecosystem.
• Manage startup support programs, including incubation, mentorship, and funding initiatives.
• Engage and influence various stakeholders, including government officials, investors, and entrepreneurs.
• Leverage AI tools (like ChatGPT) and digital systems to enhance efficiency and data-driven decision-making.

Eligibility

• Mandatory: Registered Indian Patent Agent.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or scientific discipline (Engineering, CS, Physics, Biotech, etc.).
• 0–2 years of experience in patent prosecution or IP-related roles.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and virtual meeting platforms (Zoom, MS Teams).
• Familiarity with using Artificial Intelligence tools for process optimization.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder management.
• Ability to design and monitor program management initiatives for the startup ecosystem.
