Details of the Job/Internship

The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) is hiring an Intellectual Property Consultant with 0–2 years of experience to join their office in Delhi on a 1-year contract. The role involves supporting and managing patent prosecution and related intellectual property activities. The selected candidate will work closely with inventors, patent attorneys, and other stakeholders, and will contribute to patent drafting, prosecution, and IP advisory initiatives.

Role and Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and prosecute provisional and non-provisional patent applications in coordination with inventors and patent attorneys.
• Conduct prior art searches, patentability assessments, freedom-to-operate (FTO), and landscape analyses.
• Conduct IPR awareness workshops.
• Provide guidance on IP best practices.

Eligibility

• Registered Indian Patent Agent.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or scientific discipline (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, Biotechnology, etc.).
• 0–2 years of experience in patent prosecution or IP-related roles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong collaboration and stakeholder communication abilities.
• Strategic leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Program management and networking capabilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Familiarity with email and calendar management tools.
• Experience with virtual meeting platforms (Zoom, MS Teams, Google Meet).
• Strong online research skills.
• Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence tools, including ChatGPT and similar platforms.
• Comfortable working in ERP environments and leveraging digital systems for process optimization and data-driven decision-making.
