Details of the Job/Internship

Paris Group is hiring an Intellectual Property Counsel – Trademarks with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in trademark law to join their legal team in Dubai. The role involves trademark prosecution, enforcement, litigation, and advising on brand protection strategies.

Role and Responsibilities

• Conduct trademark availability searches, risk assessments, and manage applications with authorities (USPTO, EUIPO, IP India, WIPO).
• Handle office actions, oppositions, refusals, and trademark disputes.
• Monitor infringements, draft cease-and-desist letters, settlement agreements, and assist in litigation.
• Advise on brand management, protection strategies, anti-counterfeiting, and online infringement issues.
• Conduct legal research, draft memoranda, and ensure compliance with international trademark laws and treaties.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law (LLB/LLM).
• Valid license to practice law.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in trademark law with focus on registration, prosecution, litigation, and enforcement.
• Experience in drafting, negotiating, and enforcing legal agreements, including licensing contracts.
• Strong knowledge of international trademark laws, procedures, and global portfolio management.
• Excellent legal research, negotiation, drafting, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams.
