Details of the Job/Internship

Abja Advisory LLP is hiring an Intellectual Property Lawyer to join their office in Chennai. This is a full-time on-site role requiring the candidate to assist a marquee client by managing legal document preparation, providing advice on legal and regulatory matters primarily in the media and entertainment sector, and conducting legal research. The responsibilities include drafting agreements, reviewing contracts, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws.

Role and Responsibilities

• Manage preparation of legal documents.
• Provide advice on legal and regulatory issues.
• Conduct legal research.
• Draft agreements and review contracts.
• Offer insights on compliance with applicable laws.
• Assist at the client’s office in resolving legal matters and ensuring adherence to regulatory frameworks.

Eligibility

• Expertise in law and ability to handle diverse legal issues.
• Proficiency in drafting contracts, agreements, and compliance documentation in the media and entertainment industry.
• Strong analytical skills to assess legal and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Bachelor’s degree in law (LLB) and relevant certifications.
• Familiarity with technology and emerging fields such as copyrights, data protection, AI, or intellectual property.
