Details of the Job/Internship
Agilitas is hiring an Intellectual Property Lawyer with 5+ years of experience to join their office in Bengaluru.
Role and Responsibilities
- Oversee filings, prosecution, and maintenance of trademarks, patents, and industrial designs.
- Develop and implement IP strategies supporting growth and brand protection.
- Provide legal advice to product, marketing, licensing, and sponsorship teams.
- Lead enforcement actions, oppositions, and disputes with external counsel.
- Support IP due diligence for partnerships, acquisitions, and licensing deals.
- Conduct training sessions to promote internal IP awareness.
- Drive data protection strategies and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B.).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in IP law, preferably in sports, apparel, consumer goods, or technology.
- Proven expertise in trademarks, patents, and design filings, including international filings (Madrid Protocol, PCT).
- Strong understanding of IP enforcement, litigation, and licensing.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and project management skills.
- Passion for sports and innovation is a plus.
