Details of the Job/Internship

Nuvama Group is inviting applications for a legal internship position within their Litigation Team in Mumbai. The selected intern will gain hands-on exposure to high-stakes civil and commercial litigation, arbitration, and regulatory matters across various forums including SEBI, SAT, NCLT, and others.

Role and Responsibilities

1. Legal Research & Analysis

• Conduct thorough legal research on case laws, statutes, and regulatory developments relevant to ongoing and upcoming litigation.
• Analyze judicial precedents and prepare concise case law summaries to support litigation strategy.

2. Case Documentation & Management

• Assist in drafting legal documents including case briefs, writ petitions, affidavits, replies, rejoinders, written submissions, and legal notices.
• Maintain organized case records, litigation trackers, court calendars, and internal legal archives.

3. Court & Tribunal Coordination

• Coordinate with external counsels and law firms to track case updates, filings, and hearing schedules.
• Monitor litigation timelines and ensure timely submissions and representations before courts, tribunals, and quasi-judicial authorities.

4. Legal Monitoring & Miscellaneous Support

• Track and report key judicial developments that may impact the business or sector.
• Assist in drafting internal legal updates and advisories.
• Support the litigation team in identifying legal risks from pending disputes and regulatory exposures.
• Undertake any other legal tasks related to dispute resolution, arbitration, or enforcement proceedings as assigned.

Eligibility

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Law (LL.B) from a recognized law school or university.
• Demonstrated interest in litigation, securities law, arbitration, corporate law, and regulatory frameworks.
• Prior internship experience in a law firm or corporate legal team handling litigation is an added advantage.
