Details of the Job/Internship
Neebal Technologies is hiring an Internal Legal Associate in Mumbai with 1-4 years of experience in corporate legal roles, preferably in IT/software or law firms handling tech clients.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate IT/software-related agreements, including MSAs, NDAs, SaaS agreements, SLAs, vendor contracts, and employment agreements.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and IT regulations.
- Assist in intellectual property (IP) protection, including trademarks, copyrights, and software licensing.
- Provide legal advice on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
- Support the HR team in employment law matters, including employee contracts, policies, and disputes.
- Work closely with product and tech teams to review terms of service, privacy policies, and software licensing agreements.
- Monitor changes in IT and cybersecurity laws that may impact the company.
- Assist in handling legal disputes, arbitration, and liaising with external legal counsel when needed.
- Maintain and update legal documentation, records, and compliance reports.
Eligibility
- LL.B or LL.M from a recognized university.
- 1-4 years of experience in corporate legal roles, preferably in an IT/software company or law firm handling tech clients.
- Strong knowledge of contract law, IT laws, intellectual property rights, and data protection regulations.
- Experience in software licensing, SaaS agreements, and technology-related contracts.
- Familiarity with GDPR, CCPA, IT Act, and other relevant data privacy laws.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and legal research skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple legal tasks.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams (HR, Finance, IT, and Product teams).
- Proficiency in legal research tools and MS Office.
