In 1997, the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India Act was enacted, which provided for appointing a Chairperson as either a Supreme Court Judge or a retired High Court Chief Justice. The members of the Board of Directors were also to possess specific knowledge and experience in telecommunications, industry, financial services, accounting, law, governance and consumer matters.
Details of the Job/Internship
TDSAT’s Internship Programme is open to law students who are interested in Cybercrime, IT Act and Technology Laws.
Duration: 4 weeks which may be extended based on the performance and proficiency of the Intern.
Mode of Internship: On-Site
Once the internship has been completed, the intern shall be eligible to receive a TDSAT certificate, provided that the guidelines are adhered to and regular attendance is maintained. There shall be no stipend for the internship.
Role and Responsibilities
TDSAT Internship Programme is designed to provide law students with hands-on, practical knowledge of the role and responsibilities of a prominent tribunal. At TDSAT, participants will be responsible for assisting the Tribunal's Members and the Hon'ble Chairperson in the day-to-day operations of the Tribunal.
Eligibility
- 3rd year of study (or higher) of a 5-year law programme
- 1st year of study (or higher) of a 3-year law programme
- Law student pursuing LLM/PhD
Preference will be given to students showing keen interest in or having knowledge and understanding of Cyber Crime, IT Act, Technology Laws, etc.
