The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) of India was established on 12 October, 1993. The statute under which it is established is the Protection of Human Rights Act (PHRA), 1993 as amended by the Protection of Human Rights (Amendment) Act, 2006.
Details of the Job/Internship
The National Human Rights Commission is inviting applications for the four-week Summer Internship Programme 2024. It will commence from 10th June 2024 to 5th July 2024.
Role and Responsibilities
- Classroom Sessions.
- Interaction with Hon'ble Chairperson and Members of NHRC.
- Films on Human Rights & Discussion.
- Field Visits: Police Station & Jail, NGO's, National Commission for Women / Minorities / SC/ST.
Eligibility
- Completed 1st Year of 3rd year LLB.
- Completed 3rd Year of 5 year of Intergrated Law Course.
- LLM Pursuing.
- PG Diploma in Human Rights, PG students of Political Science, Sociology, Social Work, Criminology, Public Administration Rural Development, History Economics, Commerce, Anthropology, Mass Communication, International Relations and any of the discipline of Social Science.
