Details of the Job/Internship

Advocate Sushant Singh is inviting applications for two Socio-Legal Internship positions, offering hands-on exposure to legal drafting, policy research, and socio-legal fieldwork.

Preference

• One position is reserved for a *first-generation lawyer aspirant*, as a commitment to inclusion and representation.
• Applicants with prior exposure to PILs, human rights, or legal aid work will be preferred.
• Should be comfortable working independently and meeting deadlines, even with time zone differences (as the supervising advocate may travel for work).

Internship Details

• Duration: 4–6 weeks (with the possibility of extension based on performance).
• Mode: Primarily Remote; Hybrid mode available if based in Delhi NCR
• Stipend: Paid Internship.
• Perks: Certificate of Completion and Letter of Recommendation upon successful completion.
• Flexible Hours: You may manage your work schedule independently, provided all deliverables are submitted on time.

 

Role and Responsibilities

• Drafting of Petitions, Replies, PILs, SLPs, Writs, and other legal filings.
• Legal research for ongoing litigation before various Courts.
• Preparation of case briefs, note sheets, and legal opinions.
• Policy analysis on issues of constitutional importance, civil rights, and social justice.
• Developing content for legal awareness, law-and-society initiatives, and rights-based engagement.

Eligibility

• Students of a law course.
• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Interest in constitutional law, public interest litigation, and access to justice.
• Self-motivated and reliable.
