Born on March 12, 1963, in Ropar (Punjab), Justice Augustine George Masih—an alumnus of Aligarh Muslim University with degrees in Science (Hons.) and LL.B. (Hons.)—practiced extensively in constitutional, service, labour, and civil law across various courts, served as Assistant, Deputy, and Additional Advocate General of Punjab, was appointed as a Judge of the Punjab & Haryana High Court in 2008 (permanent in 2011), later became Chief Justice of the Rajasthan High Court in May 2023, and was elevated to the Supreme Court of India on November 9, 2023.
