Details of the Job/Internship
The office of Ramamurthy S is hiring a Legal Intern to join their office in Mylapore, Chennai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research on Income Tax, GST, Customs, and Trade remedies.
- Assist in the preparation of briefs for criminal prosecution and defense matters.
- Research regulatory compliance involving FEMA, FCRA, and the Foreign Trade (D&R) Act.
- Support the drafting of petitions and legal documents related to Environmental laws.
- Organize case files and assist in preparing for courtroom proceedings.
- Track updates in Foreign Trade Policy and relevant judicial precedents.
Eligibility
- Currently in the penultimate year of law school (4th year of a 5-year course or 2nd year of a 3-year course).
- Interested in a long-term commitment to the internship.
- Ability to physically commute to the office in Mylapore, Chennai.
- Strong academic interest in Taxation, Criminal Law, or Regulatory Affairs.
- Proficient in legal research and analysis.
