Details of the Job/Internship
Hourglass Research is hiring an Associate/Senior Associate – Licensing (SEPs) to join their office in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
Role and Responsibilities
- Analysing, evaluating, and ranking patent portfolios for licensing and monetisation potential.
- Performing patent-to-product mapping, claim charting, and infringement and essentiality analysis documents.
- Preparing EOUs and other client-ready licensing deliverables.
- Conducting standards and market-based research to identify relevant standards, technologies, features, products, implementers, and markets.
- Working on SEP-related projects across standards such as 3GPP, ETSI, IEEE (Wi-Fi), and RFCs.
- Working on video codecs, Bluetooth, and related ecosystems.
- Following defined processes while suggesting improvements and efficiencies.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or a related field.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Communication, or Computer Science.
- 0.5 to 3 years of IP experience.
- Prior experience or internships in IP research, patent analytics, licensing, or litigation support.
- Ability to understand complex hi-tech and telecom concepts.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented, deadline-driven environment.
