Details of the Job/Internship
Hourglass Research is hiring an Associate/Senior Associate – Licensing (SEPs) with experience of 0.5–3 years to join their office in Bengaluru.
Role and Responsibilities
- Analysing and evaluating patent portfolios for licensing and monetization potential.
- Performing patent-to-product mapping, claim charting, and infringement or essentiality analysis.
- Preparing client-ready licensing deliverables, including EOUs.
- Conducting standards and market research to identify relevant technologies, products, and implementers.
- Working on SEP-related projects across standards such as 3GPP, ETSI, IEEE, RFCs, video codecs, and Bluetooth.
- Following defined processes and suggesting process improvements where appropriate.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or a related field.
- Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Communication, or Computer Science preferred.
- 0.5–3 years of experience in IP research, patent analytics, licensing, or litigation support.
- Ability to understand hi-tech and telecom concepts and connectivity standards.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, deadline-driven environment.
