Details of the Job/Internship

Bekaertis hiring for the position of IP Attorney with experience of 8-10 years to join their Pune office. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Drafts and gives support to defend patent applications and to follow up the existing patents for a dedicated internal client in an independent way. 
• Analyses strengths and weaknesses of third-party patents (relevant for a dedicated internal client) in an independent way. 
• Recommends implementation of non-disclosure agreements and on IP agreements in an independent way. 
• Supports litigation cases and coordinates the different internal and external parties involved: internal client (business), legal counsels, external patent experts, lawyers, etc. and participates in less complex due diligence projects. 

Eligibility

• Has obtained a National Certification as a Patent Attorney/technical qualification or has acquired equivalent experience (= minimum 8 to 10 years experience) 
• Is familiar with patent filing requirements and prosecution in major international jurisdictions like Europe, the US, and China. 
• Has developed expert knowledge and knows to advise and convince on Industrial Property matters. 
• Being a strong communicator in English, and also in writing.
