Details of the Job/Internship
Ather Energy is hiring an IP Counsel with experience of 3–6 years to join their office in Bengaluru.
Role and Responsibilities
- Implement the organisation’s IP strategy and manage patent and design drafting and filing.
- Handle patent prosecution including FER responses, hearings, and maintenance activities.
- Conduct invention scouting with R&D teams to identify protectable inventions and designs.
- Collaborate with associate firms on office actions and IP maintenance.
- Execute IP analytics and due diligence including FTO, prior art, and landscape searches.
- Maintain internal IP docketing tools, trackers, and MIS reports.
- Provide internal IP consultations and clearances to teams.
- Coordinate with stakeholders and law firms on IP disputes and litigations.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with specialization in mechanical, automotive, electronics, electrical, or computer engineering from a premium engineering college or university.
- 3 to 6 years of relevant intellectual property experience in in-house R&D or an IP law firm.
- Registered and practicing patent agent with experience in drafting, filing, and prosecution at the Indian Patent Office.
