Details of the Job/Internship

Infosys is hiring IP Counsel with the experience of 6 to 10 years to join their office in Bengaluru.

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to the business teams regarding the compliance requirements around the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology. Also, drive negotiations on Al-related terms in vendor and client contracts.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders across the organization to develop processes related to Al adaption.
• Review technical & legal aspects of services or product agreements. Sensitize technology teams of risks and negotiate with clients, vendors or partners.
• Negotiate contracts with clients and vendors for the product licensing and services.
• Manage overall IP and Al risk assessment process for proprietary product/platform development.
• Engage with business teams to understand technical & commercial contexts and translate the requirements for drafting of legal agreements.
• Conduct legal research on emerging technology areas to enhance awareness and update contractual positions.
• Support technology teams with opensource compliance process.

Eligibility

• Technical (preferably in electronic/software) background and a LLB with 6 to 10 years' work experience in corporate environment.
• Familiarity with he fundamentals of Al technology and awareness of regulatory developments across different jurisdictions, especially in EU and US.
• Strong understanding of different contracts such as MSA, software license agreements, SaaS, teaming agreement, MOU etc.
• Technical acumen of software development lifecycle.
• Keen interest in emerging technology areas such as Al, IoT, Cloud, security etc is must.
