Wipro is seeking an experienced Intellectual Property Lawyer with 3-6 years of experience to manage and safeguard its global IP portfolio.
Role and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal legal, compliance, business, and innovation teams.
- Draft, review, and negotiate software licensing, SaaS/PaaS/Cloud agreements, MSAs, LOIs, MOUs, alliance agreements, SOWs, and other IP contracts.
- Advise on IP clauses in commercial agreements.
- Support business teams in technology contract negotiations.
- Coordinate with external legal counsel as required.
- Provide advisory on patents, copyrights, trademarks, and trade secrets.
- Handle IP matters including patent drafting/prosecution (preferred), patent analytics, domain disputes, and brand protection (preferred).
Eligibility
- LLB/LLM from a recognized institution.
- B.Tech/B.E in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, Electronics & Telecommunication, or related fields.
- 3–6 years of IP experience (in-house preferred).
- Experience in contract management, preferably within a tech company.
- Strong understanding of emerging technologies such as Gen AI, IoT, telecom, etc.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and multitasking skills.
- Strong communication skills with fluency in English.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
