Details of the Job/Internship
BrandMonitor is hiring for the position of IP Litigation Lawyer with 5+ years of experience to join their New Delhi office.
Role and Responsibilities
- Prepare and send cease-and-desist letters to IP infringers.
- Prepare and file trademark and copyright infringement lawsuits.
- Represent clients in civil and criminal lawsuits, mediations, and other court proceedings.
- Conduct enforcement actions, including the planning and execution of counterfeit product seizures.
- Draft, negotiate, and conclude settlement agreements with IP infringers.
- Assess infringement cases, providing clients with legal opinions and proposed actions.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to protect and enhance client brand integrity.
- Stay updated on the latest developments in IP law and regulations.
- Support BrandMonitor’s business operations within the Delhi NCR region.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in law (LLB) from a reputable institution; LLM is preferred.
- Proven experience in IP litigation, with a focus on trademark and copyright matters.
- Strong knowledge of Indian IP laws, regulations, and court procedures.
- Exceptional analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple cases, and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in English and Hindi is mandatory; fluency in other local languages is advantageous.
- Demonstrable experience and professional connections in the Delhi NCR legal space are preferred.
- Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in IP rights protection, brand enforcement, or a law firm specializing in IP litigation.
