Details of the Job/Internship
HP is hiring an IP Operations Specialist with 6–8+ years of experience to join its team in Bengaluru.
Role and Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end docketing, filings, renewals, and portfolio maintenance for patents and trademarks within the AQX system.
- Manage AQX configurations, including permissions, dashboards, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for system enhancements.
- Orchestrate the monthly annuity cycle, ensuring accurate decision-making, instructions, and auditable record-keeping.
- Enforce operating guidelines and streamline invoicing and document hygiene for outside counsel and external vendors.
- Lead complex projects such as system upgrades, data-cleanup initiatives, and organizational change management.
- Build and maintain operational dashboards to report on cycle times, backlog, and data-quality KPIs to IP leadership.
- Ensure adherence to corporate policies regarding data privacy, confidentiality, and records-retention requirements.
- Provide mentoring and technical support to lower-level team members to ensure operational consistency.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree; a paralegal certificate or equivalent IP credential is preferred.
- 6–8+ years of experience in IP operations at an in-house legal department or a top-tier law firm.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience specifically with the Anaqua (AQX) platform.
- Proven track record in leading cross-functional project management initiatives.
- High proficiency in Excel and data validation techniques (imports/exports).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical operational details into executive updates.
- Preferred: Exposure to Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
