Details of the Job/Internship
Contract Bazar is hiring an IPR Lawyer with experience of 3–4 years to join their organisation.
Role and Responsibilities
- Conduct IP identification audits for assigned clients covering trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, and domain risks.
- Identify ownership gaps and IP risks involving co-founders, employees, and vendors.
- Advise clients on trademark and copyright strategy, including class selection, brand naming risks, and logo versus wordmark protection.
- Prepare and file trademark applications and copyright registrations and monitor application status and office actions.
- Draft and review NDAs, IP assignment clauses, and confidentiality provisions.
- Advise clients on IP usage by employees, vendors, and freelancers and identify early signs of misuse, copying, or passing-off risks.
- Draft cease-and-desist notices and legal replies and recommend negotiation, settlement, or enforcement strategies.
- Conduct IP awareness sessions and trainings for founders and teams.
- Coordinate with corporate and compliance teams to ensure consistency of IP clauses across documents.
- Maintain IP trackers, filing calendars, renewal reminders, and complete documentation.
- Track IP law updates, registry practices, and landmark decisions and share internal update notes.
Eligibility
- 3–4 years of experience in intellectual property law.
- Experience in IP audits, trademark and copyright filings, and preventive IP advisory.
- Ability to handle limited and strategic IP enforcement matters.
- Strong communication skills with a preventive and ethical approach.
