Details of the Job/Internship

Lakshmikumaran and Sridharan attorneys is hiring an Associate – IPR Litigation with 1–4 years of experience to join their team in Delhi.

Role and Responsibilities

• Assist senior attorneys in patent infringement suits, revocation petitions, and appeals before High Courts.
• Support filing of pre-grant and post-grant oppositions before the Indian Patent Office.
• Conduct legal and technical research and analyse patent specifications and claims.
• Coordinate with technical experts to understand inventions and technologies.
• Draft pleadings, written statements, evidence compilations, and briefs.
• Prepare research notes and summaries related to IP strategy, risk assessment, and enforcement.
• Monitor updates in Indian and international patent law for team knowledge and client advisories.

Eligibility

• LL.B. from a recognised university and enrolled with a State Bar Council.
• BSc/BTech in a relevant field (biotechnology, electronics, computer science, mechanical, etc.).
• Registered Patent Agent preferred.
• 1–4 years of experience in IP litigation, preferably involving patents.
• Strong drafting and analytical skills.
• Experience with cross-border IP disputes or international clients preferred.
• Familiarity with the Patents Act, 1970, and Patent Rules, 2003.
• Ability to interpret complex technical documents and legal provisions.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases independently.
