Details of the Job/Internship

Metro Brands Limited is hiring for the position of IPR- Litigation Associate with 3-4 years of experience to join their office in Mumbai. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Intellectual Property Rights (IPR)

• End-to-end management of trademarks and other IP assets.
• Handling trademark objections, oppositions, filings, and renewals.
• Coordinating and conducting raids against IPR infringers; managing related civil and criminal actions.
• Drafting cease-and-desist notices and related legal communication.

• Business Contracts

• Drafting and vetting term sheets, MoUs, commercial agreements, brand agreements, NDAs, franchise agreements, and related documents.
• Managing negotiations on contracts, indemnities, undertakings, and other legal terms.

• Litigation & Disputes

• Advising on disputes and litigation strategies to minimize legal exposure.
• Leading and coordinating litigation matters with external lawyers.
• Handling consumer cases, civil and criminal proceedings, arbitration, and other legal actions.
• Drafting notices, replies, petitions, written statements, and various court documents.
• Managing disciplinary processes for franchisees, including follow-ups, compliance issues, and terminations.
• Addressing customer complaints and providing appropriate legal guidance.

Eligibility

• Experience: 3–4 Years
• Qualification: BA LL.B

Salary/Stipend
