Details of the Job/Internship
Metro Brands Limited is hiring an IPR – General Litigation Specialist with 3–4 years of experience to join their office in Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities
IPR:
- Manage overall IPR matters.
- Handle trademark objections, oppositions, and filings.
- Conduct raids and pursue civil and criminal actions against IPR infringers.
- Prepare cease-and-desist notices.
Business Contracts:
- Vet and draft term sheets, MOUs, business agreements, brand agreements, NDAs, franchise agreements, indemnities, undertakings, and other related documents.
- Negotiate contracts.
Litigation:
- Advise on and manage disputes and litigations to minimise company risk.
- Prosecute and defend litigations in coordination with external lawyers.
- Handle consumer matters, criminal, civil cases, and arbitration proceedings.
- Draft notices, replies, petitions, written statements, and other court documents.
- Manage disciplinary processes for errant franchisees, including follow-up and terminations.
- Address and advise on customer complaints.
Eligibility
- BA-LLB degree.
- 3–4 years of relevant experience.
