Chandigarh University Uttar Pradesh is hiring an IPR Manager / Assistant Manager to join its campus in Lucknow.
Role and Responsibilities
- Identify patentable inventions, copyrights, trademarks, and designs.
- Conduct prior art searches and freedom-to-operate analysis.
- Decide appropriate IP protection strategies.
- Coordinate drafting, filing, prosecution, and maintenance of IP applications.
- Liaise with patent attorneys, agents, and IP offices in India and abroad.
- Manage IP deadlines, renewals, compliance, and portfolio databases.
- Evaluate IP assets for commercialization and strategic value.
- Support licensing, assignment, technology transfer, and industry collaborations.
- Handle IP infringement matters, oppositions, disputes, and litigation support.
- Ensure compliance with national and international IP laws.
- Conduct IP audits, awareness programs, workshops, and training sessions.
- Guide researchers, faculty, innovators, and staff on IP processes.
- Prepare IP reports, metrics, and presentations for management.
- Support government schemes, grants, and IPR reporting requirements.
Eligibility
- Experience or knowledge in intellectual property rights management.
- Ability to work closely with R&D, legal, finance, and management teams.
- Strong coordination, reporting, and compliance skills.
