Details of the Job/Internship

CJ Konsultants is hiring an IPR Manager to join them in Hyderabad office.

Role and Responsibilities

• Demonstrates expertise in managing all aspects of IPR matters, including trademarks, copyrights, and designs, from initial registration to handling disputes across multiple jurisdictions. This includes prosecution, oppositions, rectifications, and attending trademark, copyright, industrial design hearings.
• Exhibits strong communication and drafting skills, with fluency in both written and spoken English.
• Showcases leadership abilities, with experience managing teams of 10 or more, coupled with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Displays proficiency in MS Office tools and a readiness to adopt new technologies.
• Stays up-to-date on developments in intellectual property laws and industry trends, ensuring compliance with regulations and maintaining a competitive edge.
• Demonstrates exceptional organizational and time management skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to critically review various types of documents.
• Exhibits leadership qualities, including maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion.
• Successfully manages and collaborates with global law firms on IPR matters, including filing Madrid applications and handling IP filings in multiple countries.
• Provides comprehensive training and guidance to internal teams, offering ongoing educational support.

Eligibility

• LLB or Bachelor's degree in Law, or a higher qualification from a reputable law school.
• Strong knowledge and practical application of intellectual property laws, including the Trademark Act, Copyright Act, and Industrial Design Act.
• Possess 8 to 10+ years (or more) of post-qualification experience as an IPR lawyer in a reputable IP law firm.
• Expertise in drafting oppositions, counter statements, evidence submissions, interlocutory petitions, legal notices, and replies to legal notices.
• Proven ability to prepare and effectively negotiate with attorneys.
• Proficiency in drafting, reviewing, and vetting a wide range of legal documents, rejoinders including but not limited to employment agreements, policies, collaboration agreements, terms and conditions, etc.
• Strong organizational skills to effectively manage deadlines for all intellectual property (IP) matters.
• Ability to establish best practices and processes to drive improvements within the organization.
