Details of the Job/Internship
The Office of Hon'ble Mr. Justice MM Sundresh is hiring a Judicial Intern with experience in legal studies to join their office in New Delhi for the months of May and July 2026.
Role and Responsibilities
- Conduct extensive legal research on points of law arising in cases listed before the Hon'ble Judge.
- Prepare detailed case briefs and summaries for daily court proceedings.
- Assist Judicial Law Clerks in proofreading and verifying citations in draft judgments.
- Identify relevant precedents from Indian and international jurisdictions.
- Perform a typed brief-making exercise as part of the final selection process.
- Attend court hearings to observe oral arguments and judicial deliberations.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all case-related information and office discussions.
Eligibility
- Students in their 4th or 5th year of a 5-year B.A. LL.B. program (or equivalent).
- Students in their 2nd year (4th semester) or final year of a 3-year LL.B. program.
- Strong academic record and demonstrated interest in legal research.
- Proficiency in using legal databases (SCC Online, Westlaw, Manupatra, etc.).
- Excellent typing and summarization skills.
