Maratkar and Associates are hiring for the position of Junior Advocate and Associate to join their Pune office.
- Junior Advocate: 0-3 years of experience
- Associate: 3-6 years of experience
Role and Responsibilities
For Both Positions (Junior Advocate and Associate):
- Drafting Pleadings – Draft legal pleadings and documents for civil, criminal, and family matters, ensuring accuracy and legal compliance.
- Case Management – Oversee and manage cases from initiation through to resolution, including client meetings, evidence gathering, and strategy formulation.
- Court Appearances – Represent clients in Civil and High Court proceedings, assist with trial preparations, and present arguments as required.
- Research and Analysis – Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies, and interpret laws, rulings, and regulations to build strong cases.
For Junior Advocate:
- Work under the guidance of senior advocates and associates, assisting with case preparations and documentation.
- Support the team in legal research, document management, and client interactions.
- Gain hands-on experience in court procedures, trial preparations, and client counselling.
For Associate:
- Lead case strategies and independently manage client cases with minimal supervision.
- Mentor junior advocates and assist in their professional growth.
- Negotiate settlements and handle complex legal issues with in-depth expertise.
Eligibility
For Both Positions:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB or equivalent)
- Strong drafting and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines
For Junior Advocate:
- 0 to 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably with exposure to civil, criminal, and family law
- Willingness to learn and adapt to various legal procedures
For Associate:
- 3 to 6 years of experience, with demonstrated ability to handle cases independently
- Prior experience with court appearances and advanced case management skills
