Details of the Job/Internship
Ipower Batteries is hiring a Junior Advocate – Corporate & Compliance with experience of 1–3 years to join their office at Kundli, Sonipat. The role involves acting as in-house legal support, handling legal documentation, drafting and vetting policies, coordinating with external counsel, and supporting corporate and compliance matters.
Role and Responsibilities
- Review, vet, and summarise legal documents including agreements, contracts, MOUs, NDAs, vendor, customer, dealer, distributor, service centre, and employment agreements.
- Identify legal risks and suggest modifications to protect the company’s interests.
- Maintain proper records and version control of legal documents.
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and vetting company policies, SOPs, and internal guidelines.
- Ensure policies comply with applicable corporate, labour, and commercial laws and update them as required.
- Coordinate with external lawyers on litigation, legal notices, replies, affidavits, documentation, and follow-ups.
- Track case status, hearing dates, and required documentation.
- Assist management with legal implications of business decisions and basic compliance under the Companies Act and other applicable laws.
- Conduct preliminary legal research on corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters.
- Provide first-level legal guidance to internal departments and flag potential legal or compliance risks.
Eligibility
- LL.B from a recognized university.
- Enrolled with the State Bar Council.
- 1–3 years of experience, with preference for corporate law exposure.
- Prior experience in corporate or commercial matters is an advantage.
