Details of the Job/Internship
Chambers of Shivraj Gaonkar is hiring a Junior Advocate with experience of 0–3 years to join the office in Panjim, Goa. The role involves working in a high-volume litigation practice with regular appearances before the Bombay High Court at Goa, civil and district courts across Goa, quasi-judicial authorities, and arbitral tribunals. The position provides hands-on litigation exposure, focused legal research, and participation in complex legal matters.
Role and Responsibilities
- Assist in appearances before the High Court, District Courts, and Tribunals.
- Draft pleadings, written submissions, legal notices, and opinions under supervision.
- Conduct legal research on procedural and substantive issues.
- Coordinate court filings, diary dates, and case records.
Eligibility
- LL.B. from a recognised university.
- Applicants who have appeared for their final semester may also apply.
- 0–3 years of post-qualification experience; fresh graduates may apply.
- Strong legal drafting and research skills.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of Konkani and/or Marathi is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel within Goa for court appearances.
- Professional discipline, sincerity, and commitment to the practice of law.
- Proficiency with computers and ability to work in a paperless ecosystem.
- Candidates based in Goa will be preferred.
