Details of the Job/Internship
Khemka & Associates is hiring a Junior Associate (Litigation) to join its team in Mumbai. The role is suited for candidates who wish to build a career in litigation and strengthen their practical fundamentals through hands-on work. The position involves assisting in matters across courts in Mumbai, including research, drafting, filings, and court-related work while working closely with the team.
Role and Responsibilities
- Attend court hearings and assist with appearances as required.
- Prepare briefs, lists of dates, and case documentation.
- Conduct legal research for ongoing matters.
- Assist in drafting basic applications, affidavits, and pleadings under supervision.
- Handle court filings and procedural requirements.
- Support the team with case preparation and related litigation work.
Eligibility
- LL.B. degree from a recognised institution.
- Bar Council enrolment and a valid Certificate of Practice.
- 6 months to 2 years of litigation experience will be appreciated, though motivated freshers may apply.
- Familiarity with courts in Mumbai and surrounding jurisdictions.
- Strong legal research and analytical skills.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of Marathi is a plus.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, PDF tools, and e-filing systems.
