Details of the Job/Internship
Mradul Agarwal & Associates is hiring a Junior Associate – Litigation with experience of 1–2 years to join their office in Lucknow. The role is within the Tax Litigation vertical and involves handling income tax litigation, drafting replies and appeals, and assisting the Partner in appearances before tax authorities and appellate forums. The position also requires regular client interaction and coordination.
Role and Responsibilities
- Assist in handling tax litigation matters before tax authorities and appellate forums such as CIT(A) and ITAT.
- Draft appeals, petitions, replies, and legal submissions related to income tax matters.
- Conduct in-depth legal research and stay updated on developments in direct tax law and relevant judicial precedents.
- Organize case documentation, maintain case files, and ensure timely filing of submissions and responses.
Eligibility
- Chartered Accountant (CA).
- Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.).
- 1–2 years of experience in direct tax litigation, preferably in a law firm or tax advisory firm.
- Comprehensive understanding of the Income Tax Act, 1961, and allied Acts.
- Strong analytical and research capabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously.
- Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced professional environment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
