Details of the Job/Internship
Bhattacharjee Law Chambers is hiring a Junior Associate (Litigation) with 0–1 year of post-qualification experience to support day-to-day court and chamber work.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft and vet pleadings and legal documents, including plaints, written statements, applications, affidavits, replies, rejoinders, legal notices, and correspondence.
- Conduct legal research on procedural and substantive law and prepare research notes, case briefs, and summaries.
- Appear before civil courts, High Courts, and tribunals for filings, listings, mentions, and assistance during hearings.
- Coordinate with court staff, registry officials, clerks, and other counsel for filings and compliances.
- Assist in case strategy, document compilation, paper book preparation, and briefing of senior counsel.
- Track case statuses, maintain case files, and ensure adherence to timelines.
- Assist in client interactions, follow-ups, and conferences, as required.
Eligibility
- BA LL.B., BBA LL.B., B.Com LL.B., or equivalent law degree from a recognised institution.
- Fresher or up to 1 year of post-qualification experience.
Salary/Stipend
