Lexis and Company is hiring Junior Associates to join their office in New Delhi.
Role and Responsibilities
- Accompanying seniors to courts and assisting in daily court proceedings.
- Managing cause lists, next dates, and basic case follow-ups.
- Learning court procedures, filing norms, and registry practices.
- Assisting in drafting notices, applications, affidavits, and basic pleadings.
- Proofreading drafts and organising case files.
- Maintaining records, indexes, and documentation.
- Conducting basic legal research and compiling case laws.
- Preparing short notes, factsheets, and brief summaries for seniors.
- Supporting seniors during client conferences through note-taking and document collation.
- Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to office protocols, reporting systems, and timelines.
- Following professional etiquette and courtroom discipline.
Eligibility
- Law students pursuing 3-year or 5-year LL.B. programmes.
- Fresh law graduates.
- Serious intent to build a litigation career.
- Willingness to work in a disciplined and structured environment.
