Details of the Job/Internship
PJ Law Offices is hiring a Junior Associate to join their office in Ernakulam. The role involves handling transaction-based corporate work, conducting legal research, drafting and reviewing legal documents, and providing advisory support on corporate and commercial matters.
Role and Responsibilities
- Assist in handling transaction-based work in corporate and commercial law.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research and due diligence.
- Draft, review, and vet legal documents, contracts, and opinions.
- Provide legal advice and support on matters involving financial restructuring, corporate insolvency, and regulatory compliance.
- Participate in client meetings and manage correspondence with clients, counterparties, and regulatory authorities.
- Support senior counsels in arbitration and dispute resolution matters.
Eligibility
- Strong legal research and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in drafting and reviewing corporate and transactional documents.
- Foundational knowledge in Corporate Insolvency, Financial Restructuring, FinTech, Alternative Investment Funds, Foreign Exchange Management, and Contract Law.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Highly detail-oriented with strong organisational and time management abilities.
- Educational Qualification: LL.B. / CS / CA.
- Prior experience in dispute resolution or commercial transactions is an advantage.
