Details of the Job/Internship
Tetra Consultants is hiring a Junior Compliance Officer to join its Compliance team in a remote role. The ideal candidate should have internship or professional experience in compliance or due diligence.
Role and Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive KYC due diligence for new and existing clients.
- Verify client identification and documentation during onboarding.
- Assess client risk profiles and escalate issues to senior compliance management.
- Perform regular background checks and enhanced due diligence for high-risk clients.
- Identify and investigate compliance issues requiring follow-up.
- Advise clients on economic substance, UBO, and other compliance requirements.
- Maintain accurate client records and handle compliance-related administrative tasks.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes and industry best practices.
- Assist in developing compliance policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Accounts, and Renewal teams.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Compliance, or related field.
- 1 year of experience in a similar role preferred; fresh graduates with relevant internships are welcome.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Knowledge of KYC and AML regulations preferred.
- Fluency in English required; proficiency in Chinese or additional languages is an advantage.
