Details of the Job/Internship

Borwankar Law is hiring for the position of Junior Lawyer with 1-2 years of experience to join their office in Pune.

Role and Responsibilities

Legal Drafting & Vetting:

• Independently draft and review legal documents, including plaints, written statements, interim applications, legal notices, replies, rejoinders, appeals, and agreements.

Court Appearances:

• Represent clients before Civil Courts, Family Courts, Consumer Forums, RERA, DRT, and other forums in Pune and Mumbai.

Case Management:

• Handle case files end-to-end—from initiation to resolution—including documentation, deadline tracking, and procedural compliance.

Legal Research:

• Conduct in-depth legal research on case law, statutory interpretation, and socio-legal issues to support drafting and litigation strategy.

Legal Writing:

• Contribute to long-form legal articles and research-based publications on contemporary legal and social issues.

Advisory Services:

• Assist in providing legal opinions and advisory support in areas like Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and employment law.

Public Interest Litigation (PIL):

• Actively participate in research, drafting, and filing of PILs and other pro-bono legal initiatives.

Eligibility

• Educational Qualification: LL.B. from a recognized university.
• Experience: 1–2 years of post-qualification experience in litigation.
• Enrollment: Must be an enrolled Advocate with the Bar Council and hold a valid Sanad to practice in Maharashtra (non-negotiable).
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English and Marathi (reading, writing, speaking).
• Mobility: Must be willing and able to travel regularly between Pune and Mumbai for court appearances.

Salary/Stipend
