Details of the Job/Internship

Fortis is hiring a Junior Lawyer with 1–3 years of experience to join its team in Dubai. The role involves supporting legal operations and commercial execution by managing the contract lifecycle, coordinating with internal business teams, assisting with UAE corporate compliance matters, and improving internal legal processes in a fast-paced technology-driven environment.

Role and Responsibilities

• Supporting the full contract lifecycle, including drafting, reviewing, proofreading, and maintaining commercial agreements such as SaaS agreements, vendor agreements, and NDAs.
• Partnering with sales, finance, and operations teams to align legal requirements with business needs.
• Managing legal workflows through DocuSign and ensuring contracts are accurately recorded and tracked in HubSpot.
• Assisting with UAE corporate and compliance matters, including company records, filings, licences, and permits.
• Optimising internal legal processes to improve turnaround time from request to execution.
• Coordinating with external law firms, vendors, and relevant UAE authorities when required.

Eligibility

• One to three years of legal experience in an in-house, law firm, or technology or startup environment.
• Familiarity with the UAE legal and corporate framework.
• Hands-on experience with e-signature platforms such as DocuSign.
• Experience with CRM tools such as HubSpot.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Word, including formatting, redlining, and version control.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Arabic language skills.

Salary/Stipend
