Details of the Job/Internship

KMJ Legal is seeking a dynamic and motivated Junior Lawyer with 0–2 years of PQE to join their team at South Delhi office.

Role and Responsibilities

• Assist in handling civil, criminal, and commercial litigation matters across various forums.
• Draft pleadings, legal notices, contracts, legal opinions, and other legal documents.
• Conduct in-depth legal research on statutes, case laws, and international instruments as relevant.
• Prepare legal reports, case briefs, and research notes for internal and client use.
• Appear before courts, tribunals, and other adjudicatory authorities, as required.
• Coordinate with clients and senior counsels for case preparation and hearings.
• Contribute to legal publications, blogs, and internal knowledge repositories.

Eligibility

• LL.B. (5-year or 3-year course).
• 0.5–2 years of relevant legal experience.
• Excellent command of English, both spoken and written, with precision in legal drafting.
• Prior experience of having written/published legal research papers or articles in journals is mandatory.
• Exposure to litigation, with a strong interest in advocacy and legal argumentation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
• High level of professionalism, responsibility, and commitment to quality.
• Familiarity with legal databases (SCC Online, Manupatra, Westlaw, etc.).
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a collaborative team environment.
• Sound understanding of procedural laws and courtroom etiquette.

Salary/Stipend
