Details of the Job/Internship

Rajeev and Sayujya Law Chambers is hiring a Junior Lawyer to join its full-time, on-site legal team in Ernakulam. The role offers substantial exposure to litigation, advisory, and transactional assignments, enabling the selected candidate to work closely with the senior legal team and gain hands-on experience in court practice, drafting, research, and client representation.

Role and Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed legal research and case analysis.
• Draft, review, and vet contracts, agreements, deeds, pleadings, affidavits, applications, and legal notices.
• Assist in preparing briefs, written submissions, and case strategies.
• Appear before courts, tribunals, and other judicial or quasi-judicial authorities as required.
• Liaise with clients to understand legal requirements and provide practical guidance.
• Assist in negotiations, dispute resolution matters, and settlements.
• Support due diligence and compliance-related assignments.
• Maintain case files and documentation systematically.
• Stay updated on legal developments, statutes, and judicial precedents.
• Contribute to the overall growth and professional standards of the firm.

Eligibility

• LL.B. degree (or equivalent) from a recognised university.
• Enrolled with the Bar Council of India and eligible to practise law.
• Strong legal research and drafting skills.
• Good understanding of substantive and procedural laws.
• Ability to interpret statutes, case law, and legal principles effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
• Professional integrity and commitment to client confidentiality.
• Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with legal research tools.
• Willingness to travel for court appearances, client meetings, or professional assignments as required.

Salary/Stipend
